I Do Not Think That Word Means What You Think It Means

I tried a new salon this week. I had to sign a release form before they would let me see my "aesthetician," a.k.a., the very nice lady who matter-of-factly rips out my hair with hot wax. Never you mind where. But this, as accurately as I can remember it, is a quote from the form (emphasis mine):
The vagina, labia, and subsequent areas are very delicate and were not meant to be waxed.

OK, I'm sorry...but in my understanding of female anatomy, "vagina" refers to a fully internal part of the, um, situation. Which leads me to wonder why anyone would ever need to even consider waxing it. Subsequent areas, maybe...but the actual vagina? That's just crazy talk.

Very good point. I don't think that word means what they think it means either. They surely meant vulva. They probably should have just stuck with "girl parts" or similar.
